The Foo Fighters recently kicked off their UK tour with an unexpected treat for their fans: the debut of a previously unheard song, “Unconditional.” According to a representative of the band, the song was “partially written and demo’d during home studio sessions years ago — but ultimately left unfinished.” The rediscovery of “Unconditional” was spontaneous, arising during rehearsals for the UK tour. With just one run-through, the band decided to share it live.

Fans can watch the first-ever live performance of “Unconditional” in fan-shot footage available online.

The set began with a powerful trio of songs: “Monkey Wrench,” “Learn To Fly,” and “No Son Of Mine.” Throughout the night, the Foo Fighters delighted the audience with hits like “The Pretender,” “Walk,” “My Hero,” “The Sky Is A Neighbourhood,” and “Best Of You.” A notable highlight was Dave Grohl’s solo performance of “Under You” and the band’s closing duo of “The Teacher” and “Everlong.”
